Hear Yee, Hear Yee,

Have we got a treat for you! Rob and Don, our education committee, has arranged to have our meeting at the newly renovated Okanagan Hardwood Showroom located at 464 Adams Road, just past Reads Corner in North Kelowna. Steve Everitt and Greg Hank have offered their “state of the art” showroom as the venue for our up and coming meeting, next Tuesday February 21st @5:30 pm. For a $15 entry fee, you will enjoy a variety of appetisers, non-alcoholic beverages in a casual setting as Steve and Greg unveil the large assortment of products and services they offer their customers. Please find attached a link giving directions to Okanagan Hardwoods.

We ask that all members/guests try and get there between 5-5:30 pm so that we can start our brief meeting @ 5:45pm to cover our business and provide  members with updates on recent events. Then we can enjoy the rest of the evening learning of the various products and mingling with other members in the stunning showroom.

Please make cheques out to LOIS and as always, please RRSP myself so that I may confirm attendance by the end of this week. Anyone wanting to pay cash can see Shelly before or after the meeting. We will do a head count on Friday afternoon and send out a reminder the following Monday to ensure this venue is well attended.

Finally, please find attached our meeting minutes prepare by our past President, Jim Denton, for your consideration. Thanks Jim for stepping up to the plate.

Look forward to seeing a resounding turnout!

See you there.

On a separate note, please find attached a second notice about the up and coming Curling Bonspiel for February 4th starting @ 9am at Winfield Curling Club. All proceeds will be benefitting Inn from the Cold. Let’s have a good turnout for a great cause.

Finally, “ with the generosity and kindness of LOIS members and guests, President Charlie Cohoe and Secretary Al Brown were able to deliver a sizable cache of food and a $745 financial donation to the Kelowna Food Bank following the LOIS Christmas Social. THANKS to all that made donations!”

Hope to see a great turnout next Tuesday. Please RSVP so that I may have a head count to advise the kitchen on how many members/guests will be attending.

Enjoy your day! TGIF
